Before launching Organifi, Djamel founded a project to take men through a self-transformation program and, in the process, became passionate about raising awareness and money to prevent sexual violence against women. It was during that time that he teamed up with Jeans for Justice, a charity against sexual violence for women, and Drew Canole--starting the Organifi journey.

While exploring his love for music, Djamel became involved with Voices of our City Choir in San Diego, CA to help unsheltered neighbors reconnect with hope and possibility through the healing power of music, individualized and intensive case management and advocacy.
